On Wednesday, February 26th, Bridgewater High hosted an inspiring Careers Fair for Year 9, 10, and 11 students. This event offered a valuable chance for students to explore various career pathways and highlighted the role of apprenticeships as a viable route to success after graduation.

The atmosphere at Bridgewater High buzzed with energy as students moved through the booths, eager to engage with representatives from a diverse range of industries.
These events provide a platform for students to gather information, ask questions, and explore potential career paths before making important decisions about their future.
One very encouraging trend we saw at this event was that a lot of young women were interested in engineering apprenticeships. The growing interest in engineering among female students is a sign of good things to come in a field that has been mostly male for a long time.

As many of our B-engineering staff began their career paths through an apprenticeship program, it provided them with a real-life example of the opportunities apprenticeships can present. Students were able to see the benefits of a more practical, hands-on route towards their future careers, which is becoming an increasing requirement amongst employers and entry-level jobs.
The event was a great success, and we applaud the enthusiasm shown at Bridgewater High. We look forward to seeing how these emerging professionals will influence the landscape of engineering for years to come!
