Going Over the Edge for a Cause That Matters

On July 12th at 4:30, three courageous members of the B-engineering team: John Bannon, Alex Page, and Paul Collier, will face a daunting challenge: abseiling down the iconic Liverpool Cathedral, the tallest cathedral in the UK.
The Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, officially known as the Cathedral Church of Christ in Liverpool, holds the title of the tallest cathedral in the UK and is among the tallest non-spired church buildings in the world. Stretching 189 metres (207 yards) in length, it’s also the longest cathedral globally.
Designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, the construction began in 1904 and was completed in 1978. It showcases a stunning Neo-Gothic Revival style that dominates Liverpool’s skyline and serves as a powerful symbol of resilience and unity, making it a fitting location for challenges that aim to uplift and support the community.
They are aiming to raise £600 for the Standing Tall Foundation, a charity close to B-engineering's heart which changes the lives of those in the community every single day. From supporting veterans and individuals in recovery to offering mental health and wellbeing services, the Standing Tall Foundation provides an all-around rehabilitation for those who enter its doors. Without the continued support of the community, this amazing charity would not be able to do what it does.
