As part of this month's initiative, we are excited to focus on a pressing social issue: period poverty. Nearly 1 in 10 young women in the UK lack access to menstrual products, and In Kind Direct reported that almost 1 in 5 (18%) who lacked period products in childhood continued to do so in adulthood.
Breaking these generational cycles is crucial!
Period poverty refers to the lack of access to menstrual products and education about menstruation. Many girls and women face significant challenges when they cannot afford sanitary items, which can lead to missing school or work and becoming trapped in a cycle of disadvantage.

With International Women’s Day starting the month, we thought this initiative would perfectly align with our B Corp Month goals, which focus on encouraging social and environmental responsibility in businesses. As part of our actions, B-engineering has been gathering products like sanitary towels, tampons, and hygiene products for our local hygiene bank to support women and girls in our local community.
The issue of period poverty reminds us of our mission to build a better world, where everyone, regardless of gender, has access to essential resources.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our March initiative! Your contributions can lead to lasting change, and together, we can make a real difference.
Let’s keep this momentum going and strive for meaningful change in our communities year-round. Every action counts, and together, we can uplift those who are struggling. For more information, visit:
