Role:To deliver high quality installations and repairs of commercial heating systems, commercial plumbing and general pipework services in commercial premises. We have a large client base of end user and facility management clients that we support with all forms of planned, and reactive HVAC works. We specialise in supporting the FM industry and direct into end user estates with installation of commercial heating systems such as radiant and warm air heating, commercial wet systems, plantroom replacements, chiller pipework, installation of fan coil units, commercial heating, commercial air source heat pump systems, main cold water systems and above ground drainage works. Our operations are focused operational building so experience working with live systems is essential.
Role activities:
Be able to work independently to install all forms of modern pipework systems including steel screwed, crimped and fusion welded.
Identification and then rectification of leaks on heating systems, water systems and above ground drainage systems.
Installation of new heating systems including radiant and warm air heating systems, commercial boiler and hot water plant, compressed air systems and chiller pipework.
Must be passionate about low carbon technologies and renewable energy systems.
To provide information on progress of the project as per Project Programme & to follow RAMS.
Adherence to all current company procedures.
Setting standards and mentoring junior members of the team.
Being polite and professional in front of our clients.
Willing to work away for short periods if required although most works is North West based.
Maintenance of all company assets including vehicles
Completing digital reports to a high standard
Person Specification:
Full driving licence held for 12 months
Minimum 4 years industry experience with at least 2 years working as lead engineer
Minimum NVQ Lv 2 in heating and vent or similar
Beneficial to have gas qualification or be a skilled pipe welder which will lead to increased pay rate.
You must be technically confident and familiar with working on all forms of live heating, water and chilled water systems.
Beneficial to have experience installing basic ductwork systems.
Beneficial to be able to mange large projects as a site supervisor, managing othe rsub contractors and internal divisions on projects.
Experience of working to RAMS and adhering to sites health and safety requirements.
Great communication skills when dealing with clients and colleagues.
Willing to undertake external training provided by the company.
First Aid, IPAF and PASMA training will be provided if required but advantageous if already certified.
Must be able to work independently and be trusted to competently install and work on systems without being supervised.
