B-Engineering (NW) Ltd deliver nationwide, design, installation and maintenance of commercial building services engineering to clients of all sizes throughout the UK. Our Mechanical and Electrical building services engineers supply, install, service and repair a wide variety of Heating, Plumbing, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Electrical systems from our base in Warrington, in the North West of the UK.

Our main emphasis is on enhancing energy efficiency and minimising carbon emissions in commercial environments.

Responsible for: 

Surveying, designing, and quoting solutions for end-user live HVAC plants in commercial buildings for projects ranging form £10,000 to £1 million. The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates for new projects within agreed timelines, collaborating with project managers, suppliers, and clients, conducting on-site activities, and providing concise presentations to ensure budgeting is accurate. We specialise in working with end-user sites and for large facility management companies repairing, improving, replacing, and decarbonising HVAC plants in commercial premises such as education facilities, offices, warehouses, healthcare facilities, and industrial sites. Typical works include boiler and hot water plant replacements, installation of air source heat pumps, warm air and radiant heating, general pipework and duct working installations, and chiller swaps across the North of England and the Midlands.


The right person will have:

  • Strong clear communication and interpersonal skills.

  • The ability to manage time and projects with a strong work ethic.

  • The Company goals—health and safety, quality, commitment to ESG at heart Qualifications:

  • DBS Certification qualification

  • Full Driving Licence (no major penalties)

  • Formal qualification in building services engineering is beneficial but not essential.

  • Knowledge of low-voltage power and HVAC controls is beneficial but not essential.

  • Experience of using CAFM/CRM systems is beneficial but not essential.


Mandatory Skills Required:

  • 5 + years of estimating experience in the HVAC industry with a proven track record

  • Construction Estimating and Quantity Take-off skills

  • Cost Management and Budgeting skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with construction estimating software is a plus

  • Ability to risk assess and identify business compromises (actual or potential)

  • Excellent communication skills, including:

  • Dealing with situations and clients requests promptly and accurately

  • Ability to collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders

  • Excellent English and IT skills, proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Teams

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines

  • Must be hard-working, self-motivated, reliable and trustworthy

  • Must have a “can-do” attitude
