B-Engineering (NW) Ltd deliver nationwide, design, installation and maintenance of commercial building services engineering to clients of all sizes throughout the UK. Our Mechanical and Electrical building services engineers supply, install, service and repair a wide variety of Heating, Plumbing, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Electrical systems from our base in Warrington, in the North West of the UK.

Over the past 10 years B-engineering Group (formerly Bmech Services) has experienced rapid growth from a revenue to of £200k to £4 million pounds and we are now at the exciting next stage of growth as we establish ourselves as market leaders in renewable energy solutions and grow our Electrical division. At B-engineering Group we design, supply, install, and maintain all forms of commercial heating, ventilation, water, air conditioning, electrical, and renewable energy systems. Based in Warrington, our maintenance and project works cover from above London, up to the Scottish border. We have a wide portfolio of clients including direct end users, facilities management companies, blue chip companies, and building services engineering consultants.


Expectations:


  • Complete knowledge of working commercial HVAC systems to be able to advise, identify issues and create and propose solutions.

  • Design knowledge of HVAC systems to be able to replace/upgrade commercial heating, ventilation and piped services systems to modern/low carbon solutions.

  • Must be able to specify, procure quotations and create a proposal for upgraded HVAC systems to include boiler plant replacement, warm air and radiant heating systems, air handing plant, ventilation systems, hot water generation and renewable technologies.

  • High standard of creating proposals and quotes.

  • Passion for new and low carbon technologies. Keeping up with industry standards and willingness to incorporate technologies into system designs.

  • Be able to visit clients sites survey systems. Must have good client relationship skills.

  • Experience converting gas fired heating systems to electrically sourced systems be that DX air conditioning, direct electric boilers or wet heat pumps.

  • Experience with CAD would be beneficial.

  • Experience in reading and understanding specifications when required.

  • Experience of building regulations, L8 compliance and BREEAM standards.

  • Experience with M&E contracting estimating beneficial but not essential.


Person Specification


  • Full driving licence held for 12 months with no more than 6 points.

  • Minimum 5 years industry experience with at least 3 years working as lead engineer.

  • Minimum HNC in building services engineering as a minimum. Ideally degree with CIBSE chartered status. if working towards then we would support this.

  • You must be technically excellent and familiar with live heating, water and chilled water systems and able to diagnose issues with the current systems and create a proposal for a replacement and see this through to quoting stage.

  • Beneficial to have an understanding of HVAC controls and wiring systems.

Pay: £55,000-£65,000 per year
