Job description

· Trading for 33 years, B-mech service and maintenance area division of B-engineering Group.

· Provides heating and gas services to a range of industries. Clients include schools & university accommodation, public buildings, factories & warehouses, residential homes, and offices.

· As a result of continued company growth, we are recruiting an additional full time senior Commercial Gas Engineer for servicing, repairs, and installation of commercial heating equipment to join our team of 7 commercial engineers. Majority of work all north west based.

Role requirements

· Commercial gas qualifications i.e COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CDGA1 etc

· City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 & 3. Gas Safe 2 years (preferred)

· Full UK driving license (essential)

· LPG, OFTEC, IPAF and PASMA would be an advantage (not essential)

Responsibilities

· Planned preventative maintenance of commercial heating and hot water appliances

· Fault diagnosis for all forms of commercial heating, water and burenr systems

· Must also be flexible to attend reactive repairs and breakdowns as part of engineers on-call rota (1 in 7)

Person Specification

  • Full driving licence held for 12 months

  • Must be experienced with diagnosis and repair of boilers, burners, gas fired water heaters, process burners and warm air/radiant heaters.

  • Beneficial to have experience experinece with oil systems but not essential.

  • Experience of working to RAMS and adhering to sites health and safety requirements.

  • Great communication skills when dealing with clients and colleagues.

  • Willing to undertake external training provided by the company.

  • First Aid, IPAF and PASMA training will be provided if required but advantageous if already certified.

  • Must be able to work independently and be trusted to competentley install and work on systems without being supervised.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £40,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
