Case Study: Air Conditioning
Project
The client requested us to replace some old AC systems in a HV/LV Room over at a site in Manchester
Delivery
The initial survey revealed faults in three Mitsubishi AC systems, leading to their replacement while utilizing existing pipework. Installation involved relocating condensers using a genie lift, preparing pipework for new flare nuts, and installing new condensers securely. Indoor units had pipework adjusted, insulation added, and pressure-tested at 500psig for 24 hours using OFN.
Benefits
After the 24-hour period elapsed, the engineers returned to the site to initiate the evacuation process. They connected our vacuum pump to the systems, attached a torr gauge, and activated the pump until the system reached below 2 torr to eliminate any moisture from the pipework.
Following the completion of the evacuation process, the engineers introduced the new refrigerant into the system and conducted commissioning tests, along with finishing all necessary documentation.
